Living With A Freeloading Succubus! v0.6 Update Changelog


Hey guys, this is the changelog for version 0.6. 

New title screen

Making a new title screen and logo was honestly pretty daunting and because of that, I kept putting it on hold until now. After a couple of trial and error, this is what I currently came up with:

This may or may not be the final main menu version so please let me know what you think!

UI overhaul

Next thing is the UI, especially the laptop UI. It wasn’t really that huge of a change, but it’s still better than what the game had before which was just the default panel design from the game engine.

  • New icons for laptop menu
  • New laptop menu UI design
  • New shop and inventory design

Added sfx for most clickables in the game

The previous version never had much variety in terms of sfx, so I added some new stuff that is hopefully still a bit subtle and not too overwhelming.

Added sound effects and emotes during dialogue

One thing I found lacking for the in-game dialogues was the lack of “emotes”? I’m not really sure what’s the right term but here’s a couple of examples:

These also have a little animation to them along with an accompanying sound effect. I wanted to make Chloe move too, like flailing left and right, panning in and out the scene, etc. But I thought it might be a bit excessive so I settled with this for now. 

Added tutorial for the new scenes

Also redid the tutorial image for the first scene. Along with that, I added an explanation for the buttons only available for the sweet mood as well.

Slightly retouched room bg

It’s not really a huge change, but I’ve always wanted to improve my background art so I thought I'd work on the old bg for practice.

Added confirmation prompt for saving, loading, and making a new game

This one came from feedback which is good for avoiding accidentally losing your progress. This one was an oversight on my part and may have caused multiple people from losing their progress. I apologize for that.

Added back option in room dialogue choices

This one is also from feedback. When you accidentally clicked Chloe in the room, there was no option to turn back and the only workaround to “exit” is to click discussion.

Added a notification when a Chloe item is used during an H-scene

New story events; two mini, one main (with illustration)

Added two new activity art

And that's about it for this month's update. Next month's update will be a new H-scene. I think I've always said this for every H-scene update, but this one may take longer as usual as well. I kinda want to try a more complex scene this time but we'll see how it goes. Thank you for understanding!
